one of the benefits to having family who live farther away is being able to visit them! and lucky for me, my uncle, auntie, and cousins live near san francisco -- visiting san francisco never gets old. although i've since lost count on how many times i've been there, this trip was a little more special than the others. not only was it my nephew's 1st birthday and mother's day weekend, but it was also one of the last weekend trips i was going to be able to go on this summer. although it was short, it was nice to be able to spend time with my mom and auntie (who is basically my second mom) and get away from la.
my mom and auntie picked me up from work on a friday afternoon and we got home monday evening (yay for not having work). the drive going to san francisco wasn't that bad since we didn't hit that much traffic. in the six hour drive (there and back) my mom and auntie talked non. stop. i was shocked by how much they can talk. and they talk to each other everyday! i must say though, they are hilarious travel companions.
